Divas it's a fashion faux pas to be out and about and someone is wearing the exact same outfit as you. There are so many ways to make every outfit your very own that this shouldn't happen very often but it does. There are things that you can do to prevent this like accessorizing or custom tailoring. I can not stress enough how simple it is to take an item to a tailor or seamstress and have them change something or give it that perfect fit. There are seamstresses/tailors in pretty much every dry cleaners and they are generally not very expensive at all.
All of you who know me know that I've lost a significant amount of weight over the last year. I have refused to be the lady still wearing her fat clothes even though she's lost a whole person. :~) However, even before the weight loss I was very particular about the fit of my clothing. Growing up my mom was the lady who did alterations for EVERYBODY and thus I was taught at an early age that you could always make things fit you. As a vertically challenged (short) person I've had to have things altered for length as long as I can remember. (spent a small fortune) It just kicks your diva-ness into over drive when your things fit well and you know that you look fabulous.
My sister Ansonia Foster has a very eclectic sense of style. We tease her all of the time and tell her that things that she likes are "HER" but we wouldn't buy them. She is very comfortable being different and despite our comments she buys and wears what she likes and makes it work and often we end up liking it despite our initial opinions. We have never gone out and seen anyone wearing the same outfit as Ansonia because she has her own sense of style. She dares to be different!!!
Life: Daring to be different is in essence embracing who you are and being comfortable and confident in being the best you that you can be. We are all unique individuals not cookie cutter people. If we were all from the same cookie cutter imagine what a boring world this would be. I love the diva that I am and don't try to be like anyone else in particular. I love my sense of self and style and try to make it do what it do!!!
Dare to be different divas!!! Remember being a diva is more than just a title, it's a way of life!!!
